Job Description:
CLIENT is undergoing unprecedented growth and development within corporate,
investment banking and markets (CIBM) as it follows an ambitious business
development programme. To support many of the individual initiatives,
the bank is implementing a global collateral management solution across
the main CIBM centers . This will be delivered in a phased approach and
will address collateral in the broadest sense within the organisation.
A seasoned project manager is required to run the lead development team
in New York. The successful candidate will be accountable for implementing
a defined strategy involving a number of third party products combined
with selective IT development. The New York team is comprised of a Business
Analyst, Integration Manager and a team of developers based in New York
and offshore. In addition the role faces off to core teams in London,
Paris and Hong Kong each comprised of a local project manager, analyst
and integration manager. The position will report to an overall global
project manager based between New York and London.
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will include; definition of detailed project plans,
management of day-to-day development, appropriate escalation of issues,
production of timely status reports and ensuring overall development,
testing and implementation milestones are achieved within plan. The project
timelines are aggressive consequently the responsibility will appeal to
an energetic, self starter who is used to working in changeable environments.
Minimum Requirements:
PM must have 7-10 years of project management experience in IT with well-proven
skills in the areas of project methodology, control, and sourcing. Particularly
critical are capabilities to understand the business analytically and
manage issues tactically within the established strategy. Knowledge and
experience in derivatives, specifically on global margin and collateral
management from the regulatory and legal contract perspective is fundamental
to fulfilling responsibilities of this position. At minimum, experience
in managing projects in broker/dealer environments must be demonstrated.
